Become a volunteer

Why become a volunteer? Because it's a front row seat to all the action without having to pick your lazy butt up and run those steep hills! Our volunteers help make the Grumpy Muddah one of the most awesome events in Southeast Minnesota.

"Volunteering at the Grumpy Muddah with my friends was so fun...I loved every minute of it." -Nikki Y.

Interested in volunteering at the 2014 Grumpy Muddah? Check out the information below and then fill out the 2014 Volunteer Form. In the meantime...while we need an army of many to ensure this day runs as smooth as possible, apply early. We were very lucky last year to have the support of so many community members! When you apply, only confirm those shifts you can fully commit to.

Please add grumpymudder@gmail.com to your e-mail contacts-this will ensure that you receive all important emails we send out about the event, confirmation fo your volunteer shift day and time.

You may be the first face hundreds see...you may be cheering on those crazy Muddahs as they tackle the steepest slopes in Southeastern Minnesota. Whatever you do as a volunteer, you'll be at the heart of it all, creating an awesome experience for everyone!

Our volunteers need to be the most awesome people in the world...we don't start super early and we don't stay super late. We need people who are up for the challenge, will follow through with their commitent, like working with others and are willing to get a little bit muddy.

As a thank you, all volunteers receive:

  • A super awesome volunteer shirt

  • A Wabasha-Kellogg coupon book with over $300 in savings at area attractions & businesses

  • Free parking & free event access

  • One free beer ticket (if 21+)

  • Front-row seats to the action
